I am an artist and illustrator living in Columbus, Ohio. My interest in creative challenges extends to my hobbies. Art, video games, training and teaching Modern Arnis (a Filipino martial art), cooking, all of these things present challenges with rewards in different forms. The thought processes of these activities are all quite similar, even though outwardly they are very different.

Nothing exists in isolation, even if people tend to think of it that way. I enjoy examining the specifics of what makes things intrinsically what they are and how those traits relate to other things and ideas. Everything is a metaphor for everything else.

Artistically, my background is rooted in traditional media. I received my BA in Studio Art with a focus in Painting & Drawing from Principia College. Even though I have been deeply fascinated by technology and computers my whole life, I did not start to channel my love of visual arts into the digital realm in a serious way until after I had been out of college for a few years. I find that practice and experience in one area feeds the other nicely.

I am deeply grateful to the people who have helped me along my artistic path. I hope that as I continue to learn and grow I will have the opportunity to help others develop along their own journeys.
